We live in a beach community and many people rent their houses on a weekly or nightly basis. A good place to check is www.vrbo.com
If you are looking online, check with us before you
rent. We’ll be able to tell if the house
is close to our area and may be able to check it out before you rent it. We live in Black Point
Beach. Other beaches nearby are Old Black Point, Attawan Beach, Crescent Beach
and Oak Grove Beach. All of these are within 5 minutes of our
house and 15 minutes to the reception.
You may also find houses in Giant’s Neck. The best houses are in Giant’s Neck Beach
and not Giant’s Neck
Heights. This location is about 10 minutes from our
house and 20 minutes to the reception.
If your house requires cleaning before you leave, we can put
you in touch with our cleaning lady if you like.

The nicest place in town and for good reason. Located right on the Niantic River
(which leads to Long Island Sound) overlooking a large marina. Nice common areas and outdoor patios
overlooking the marina. You can walk to
the restaurants, shops and bars downtown.
There is a gym 2 blocks away.
Great views of the river and the bay. Beautiful rooms, friendly people. Includes breakfast buffet with hot item. This is where we would stay if we didn’t live
here!

A clean, inexpensive hotel located right on Main
Street. Décor is dated, but the rooms
are spotless and very large. Each has a
table and chairs, love seat and either kitchenette or
refrigerator/microwave.
We have blocked 13 rooms for Friday and Saturday. Right now, there is a baseball team holding
the rest on Saturday night. If they
cancel we’ll be able to add more. There
aren’t any connecting rooms available at this time.

3 small cottages near Crescent Beach
which is right near our house. It is the
beach that has the small breakfast snack bar overlooking the beach. They are
close to the town beach and in a neighborhood, close to other houses. We haven’t seen the inside of cottages
except for the photos online. If you are
interested, we will talk further with the lady and go take a look.

kitchenettes. Across from Rocky Neck
State Park which is a
public beach. It is next to the Lyme
Tavern – a sports bar where we eat fairly often.

15 minutes from our house, 15 minutes to the reception. This hotel is located near I-95 at the outer
edge of town. There are a group of cheap
hotels and motels there that people use when they come for the casinos. This seems to be the nicest. It is truly a budget hotel. Clean, but tired. One good thing is that they are within
walking distance to Starbucks.
We have not reserved rooms yet, but will wait to see if
there is any need.
